Andrea & Ian’s Wedding. Boston to Toronto, Columbus Event Centre Wedding

The middle of August is usually always pretty insane time of year for us. It’s a three hit combo of the never-ending post processing, weekend wedding / shoots and being blessed to be able to meet with new prospects. So the downfall is that we been a little behind on updating our website in sharing all these cool shoots with you guys.

Andrea and Ian’s wedding was pretty unique in the sense that they both live in Boston and had their wedding in Toronto. I can only imagine how tough it must have been for the both of them to do all the planning outside of the city. Kudos to them, and to all the family and friends that helped out.

In the morning of the their wedding, I was with Andrea and her bridesmaids / family while Kevin was with Ian and his groomsmen. We all met outside Andrea parent’s house to do the reveal. The weather was crazy hot that day and at a certain point the wedding party almost gave up with the outdoor photos… but we ended up beating the heat by taking a Starbuck’s break. The outdoor ceremony was perfect when we got back to the Columbus Event Centre in the afternoon as it got a little cooler. As the guests poured in, it was so nice to see some familiar faces that we have not seen in a while.

In the evening, it was pretty awesome to see the reception with their theme of Ninjas (check out the cake). Not to mention the fact that the bride and groom started the night party with a pretty bad ass coordinated dance.

To Andrea and Ian, thanks so much for having us capture your wedding. Here are some pics we chose to visually story tell your beautiful day. Enjoy!

Anna and Dave Married!!

So you know how they say that the groom always gets it easy on the wedding day.  Well I must say when I arrived at Dave’s house in the morning I couldn’t agree more.   I mean I walked in and the boys were looking at ads in the paper for new cars…umm…was I in the right place?  They had all woken up early and were really just relaxing before the big day started.  We even stopped to have some lunch and then it was on with the festivities.   The guys were great and I had the chance to find out that two of the groomsmen were past neighbours and school buddies of Dave that had long since moved away from the country.   Now that is true friendship when you fly back in to be there.

What was great for me during this wedding day was the opportunity to see some friendly faces in the sea of guests.  Not to mention one of the “super” bridemaids was from my high school and the MC’s are good friends with both Leon and I.   Point to note, even though the day was relaxing for Dave in the morning, I quickly saw that he was the one who did take care a lot of the details on the wedding day.   So Anna you are a lucky woman to have a husband who likes to help you out with this stuff. And of course Dave, you know you are a lucky man with such a sweetheart of a wife.

There is 5673.8 reasons why I love my job… if I can even call what I do a “jay oh bee”.  Couples like Anna and Dave are one of my number one reasons.  Let me explain… For those of you that are married… you can all remember how hectic the day was and your day was probably for the most part …your day.  When I walked in the morning to capture Anna and her girls getting ready…  not only Anna insisted that I ate… but she prepared a plate personally for myself, Maggie and her make up / hair teammate.   That’s just one small gesture to show how selfless and sweet of a person she is.

Their wedding was truly awesome from beginning to end.   Gorgeous ceremony to fun times with the wedding party at Unionville Main Street to the best MC’s ever =)   For me personally, it was amazing seeing  couples we captured in the past  and seeing their new additions to their family =) As always…I’ll let the pics tell the story but before that, I just want to say Thank you to Anna & Dave for having us be there on your day…. It’s people like you guys… that make my job not a job.   Much love to you both.

John and Charamine Wedding

Venue - Hilton Suites Markham Conference Centre & Spa

Wedding Coordinator - Eunice Kim

What an awesome day!!! As I mentioned in their lifestyle shoot, John is one of my best friends and to be able to document such a special part of their lives is such an honour.  When I arrived at John’s place in the morning, what do I see in the drive way? An Audi R8!!!!  As you can see by the many exclamation marks, both John and I and probably all our mutual friends are car enthusiasts.  So needless to say, it was such a cool way to roll around town for the wedding.  This was such an awesome surprise for John and to give a free plug to the person that made it happen – if you are looking for an Audi, swing by Uptown Audi and ask for Darren.

The day was such a blast from beginning to end. After the ceremony, we headed off to Main Street Unionville for some more formal shots and after we went to the venue walking into the great sounds of a live steel drum band!   It was great to see such familiar faces with both the wedding party and guests.  I truly enjoyed myself and for one of the last shoots of 2009, it such a great way to end off a good year.  Special thank goes out Eunice Kim for keeping the day organized, it’s always a pleasure working with good people.   Enjoy the honeymoon guys and see you when you get back!  Congrats again.
