Julia and Curtis Married. Pangaea Restaurant Wedding

This was a great wedding to wind down the end of our wedding season.  A smaller intimate wedding held in a great restaurant in downtown Toronto.  Julia and Curtis are super nice peoples and I totally enjoyed all our interactions throughout the year. So needless to say their wedding was a great day that we truly enjoyed capturing.

As always, we are uploading a fair amount of pictures that tell the story, so I won’t go into too many specifics. I do have to mention some things that may not be obvious when looking at the pics.  First off, it was COLD that day… like it felt like it was freezing type of cold. Great thing was, everyone in the wedding party just bit the bullet for the outdoor pics (thank guys).   Secondly…Julia and her bridesmaids did such a good job on the dance … really good stuff.  And lastly… Curtis and his fam are from Jamaica…. which meant reggae music. Good times. Big chunes.

Before we get into the pics, I want to thank my friend Kevin C for shooting this wedding with me.  I also want to thank my friend Marlon for introducing me to his brother… thank you for the constant support and good seeing you man.  Last but not least, I sincerely want to thank my friends Julia and Curtis for having us capture their awesome day. Thanks so much guys and here are just a few pics from your wedding.

Winnie & Carson. Fall Engagement Shoot

The good part about living north of the city is experiencing the Fall season… mama nature looks so pretty.  So when we scheduled this lifestyle engagement shoot,  we had the best of both worlds as we started uptown and worked our way into the city.

Since I live uptown, I have tons of little spots that I love using… (and it’s mainly for taking pics of Gi and Alexis).  So I texted Winnie and Carson where to meet… to start off our shoot. When I first saw them as they walked out of their car… my heart literally dropped.  He was in a suit and she was in a wedding dress.  The first thing I thought was…did I somehow make a mistake on what was suppose to be a wedding as an e-shoot? Reality was they wanted a few pics (pre-wedding pics) of them to use for the wedding day as print material… I had no clue but so glad it wasn’t what I thought.

Winnie and Carson are really easy going peoples which made this an easy fun shoot.  After we wrapped up in Markham we headed downtown to get a little city vibe for their pics.

I sincerely want to thank my friends Laurence and Minh for this warm referral.  To Winnie and Carson, Thank you both so much and can’t wait for the big day next year!

1 Week Old! Newborn Baby C

Every time I get to do a newborn shoot where it’s the second baby… it’s always much different than if it’s the first. And no doubt…the parents are probably more tired since they have to manage their first child too... but everyone is always more relaxed (I guess this is where experience kicks in).   I met M&A at their place and this is where I got to meet both of their adorable daughters. I actually met their father when we were working together at a recent wedding shoot since he’s part of Ryan Buan’s Cinematography team.

Their newborn baby daughter was 1 week old at the time of the shoot and was so chilled out which made for easy posing of pics.  Their older daughter is super cute.. and we managed  to get the sisters together for a few shots.

I want to thank my friend Ryan B for the warm intro to this sweet family and I sincerely want to thank & congratulate my new friends A&M on their cute daughter. Here are a few pics from our shoot.

She’s going to be a big sister! Maternity & Family Shoot

I miss these guys a lot. Ironically enough, a few weeks before this shoot, we ran into each other at Whittamore farms during the pumpkin patch time, which was a nice surprise… as we got to intro our toddlers to each other.

Their daughter L is just so, so adorable.. and it’s not even because I have a daughter around the same age and related to the adorableness.. she’s just so sweet. We totally lucked out with the weather for a late November shoot.. which gave us a chance to head outside to do these pics.   We did our best to get in a few family portraits looking at the camera and what totally helped was a family walking their golden lab who helped get little L’s attention as I snapped away.

E&N, miss you guys and thanks so much for setting this shoot up. Not sure if baby number 2 is here yet, but wishing  you both a smooth and healthy delivery – congrats again.  When things settle in.. lets do our long awaited dim sum =)

This beautiful family

I’m lucky to be able to focus and hone my craft in different aspects of photography.  My number one questions I get asked all the time is what my favorite form of photography I like doing most?  Pretty hard question to answer… as each craft is so different and rewarding in its own way... but final answer would have to be family photography.  There’s nothing in this world that makes me more happier then capturing photos of my family and watching my daughter grow. With that being said, I have a lot of love for this family as I’ve been lucky enough to capture their life stages.

This shoot like the many other family lifestyle shoots I’ve been doing recently was all about an updated family picture in preparation for Christmas.  On the day of their shoot, the weather was like today… cold and wet.. so we decided to meet at their business… where we used the cool space inside.  To my friends S&B, I’m sincerely thankful for all the years of your support. You guys are wonderful parents and I always love seeing your amazing kids.  Thanks always!

Angela & Gabriel Married. Toronto Brickworks Fall Wedding

I enjoyed this wedding a lot. It’s always nice to see friends and familiar faces which makes the day that much more enjoyable. My interaction with Angela leading up to their wedding was easy and chill it was same feeling that day.

Kevin C and I shot this wedding together as we started off at separate locations where Angela and Gabriel were getting ready.  I met up with Kev at the Church, where we set up a first look / reveal at the back garden. The Fall weather was bright and warm…could not have asked for a better day. After the Church ceremony we headed over to the Brickwork’s and had a an opportunity to work on some creative formals.  Afterwards, it was nice that everyone headed over to the bride and groom’s condo where they ordered some pizza and got a chance to relax (food on the wedding day is like gold).

In the evening they hired a traditional lion dance team lead by the same “see fu” that trained Gabriel. So pretty fun stuff to see Gabriel showcase some of his skills as he lead the dance for a bit. Before we get into the pics, I want to thank Kevin C for being the second lead and for always being a good friend.  I want to thank our new friend Ramon + his team at RC2 Films for being so easy to work with.  I want to sincerely thank our friends Angela and Gabriel for having us capture your fun wedding. Here are just a few pics we chose to share. Enjoy!
