Pumpkin Patch. Whittamore Farms Family Shoot

We totally lucked out on the crowd situation at Whittamore Farms that day. I went a week before with my family and it was packed! I love seeing this family / friends on a yearly as their kids are great and so much fun to shoot. We started off at the big pumpkin patch area and I got a chance to just get a few pics of the kids alone (which is pretty rare). The place is pretty entertaining with lots of activities and play areas, so we quickly worked through the spots that worked well for pics as the kids were probably itching to just play.

My friend J&S are great parents and always do their best to get these awesome pics. To my friends J&S, I’m so thankful for the years of support and for the fulfillment of capturing your amazing fam. Here are some pics from our shoot.

Apple picking with the family. Berryview Farms

I don’t know if it’s because of the climate change over the years but I remember when we used to go apple picking as a kid…. I was all bundled up and it was always cold – borderline freezing. This was a total 180… warm, bright and beautiful morning. no complaints.

E&J and their sons are good friends of both Gi and I so this shoot was also nice for me to hang out with them too. We all met in B Town (Russell Peters represent!) where the apple picking farm was. E&J are phenomenal parents and their kids are great. We walked around the apple farm and used the various space and of course they got a chance to pick some apples. After the shoot, we headed to a nearby park where the kids (and parents) got to have some fun. I really enjoyed this shoot and really want to thank my friends for setting this up with me. I appreciate the support and can’t wait to hang over the holidays.

Melissa and Mike Married! Grand Luxe Wedding

There were a lot of little things that I personally enjoyed about Melissa and Mike’s wedding, so forgive me as I’m just going to randomly shout out things that come to mind. First off, as a couple, they were super easy to deal with - straight up good peoples. I originally met them at Melissa and Pietro’s wedding, which brings me to another reason why I enjoyed this event as I got to see them (and their family) again too. Mike’s blue suit rocked… if there was a poster boy for a Groom in a blue suit -he would be that dude. I loved how all the bridesmaid’s dresses were also an untraditional black.

I’m a car guy... and there is nothing I enjoy more than the sound of a naturally aspirated v8 while watch the rear tires light up . That was my view and the sweet sound I heard as I followed Melissa being chauffeured in her uncle’s Chevelle – good times. The day was cold and windy but it was awesome that everyone was game for pics. We shot at the Grand Luxe many times and their décor was beautiful, especially the ceremony backdrop. The entrance sparklers were a great touch and just as spectacular was the big bang of confetti that started the night on the dance floor.

Before we showcase the pics, I want to specially thank Kevin Chan for shooting this event with me and sincerely thank Melissa and Mike for having us capture their big day. I’m not sure if you guys are back from your honeymoon but in any case, here are a few pics that we chose to storytell your big day. Enjoy and see you guys soon!

Sidney & Dat’s Maternity Session

It was great that we got to use Sidney and Dat’s beautiful home as the location to capture this special life stage. It’s comfortable and I got a chance to see all the great effort that went into their baby’s nursery room. Speaking of nursery room… you might notice in some pics I specifically blurred out the baby’s name or any hint of it.. as they want to make the announcement when the baby arrives. What I can say is ironically enough, the chosen name is one that we narrowed down as a top 3 fave for our baby.

I met Sidney and Dat for the first time on the day of their shoot and have to say that Sidney looked amazing. Totally glowing and you wouldn’t have known she was carrying if you didn’t look at her belly. We used various spot in their house and headed out quickly to capture some fall colours.

I’m not sure if the baby is here yet but I want to wish them a healthy, smooth labour if not. Thanks so much again guys for having me capture this sweet life stage. Here are a few pics from the session.

Welcome D&A! Beautiful Newborn Twins.

T&J are good friends of ours and from the day we heard the news that they were expecting twins, we were so happy for them. Too bad Gi wasn’t able to join me for the shoot as she would have also fell in love with D&A – they are so adorable. Shooting these two babies side by side, it was cute to see how different their personalities are. This parenting business looks so natural for both J&T. Given that they were working off just a few hours of sleep probably (for the week) they looked great.

I want to congratulate and sincerely thank my friends for having me capture this beautiful family. D&A are insanely blessed to have you both as parents. Here are just a few pics from our shoot.

Kim & Darryl, Toronto Harbourfront Engagement

I’m loving how Harbourfront and Queens Quay is shaping up to be now. Ample bike lanes, cool art installations and now home to one of my favorite restaurants, Miku – who goes twice in 4 days.. we do..lol. So when Kim and Darryl mentioned that they wanted water and boats as a backdrop… naturally I suggested here.

I met Kim and Darryl at the beginning of the year… and recently heard back from them about their upcoming wedding this month. So we quickly planned a date to meet at the Harbourfront. We walked around the area and basically whenever something interesting caught my eye… I placed Kim and Darryl in the scene. Kim and Darryl were pretty easy to direct and after a little warming up… the shots came naturally.

I want thank my friend Chi Hae for recommending us to her friends… you are the best sister. I want to thank both Kim and Darryl for having us capture your upcoming big day in a few weeks . Here are a few pics from our shoot.
