In terms of traditional and cultural weddings that I’ve done… I really, really enjoy capturing Indian weddings. I had such a positive experience over the years - the culture itself, traditions, colours, food and people are so beautiful. So I’m pretty stoked for this week as I’m honoured to capture Aliya and Hafeez’s events leading up to their big wedding on Sunday.
This shoot was done right before the summer, kinda nice thinking about it now as it’s been a few months of blazing heat. We started off at Unionville Main street (the pre Pokemon Go scene) and used a bunch of fun spots. Aliya and Hafeez are a good looking couple (captain obvious here) and working with them was a breeze. I had some off the beaten path spots in mind and was so ecstatic they were down with them. It was hard for me to describe the locations to them. I was like “so guys.. there is this kind of abandoned field near the old future shop and this under ground parking lot… but we might get kicked out… but they where totally down for whatever which was awesome.
To my friends Aliya and Hafeez, thank you both so much for everything and I’m excited for your wedding. Lots of love guys and see you both soon.
