“This is Paradise” HK to the T Dot.

I love this engagement lifestyle shoot for many reasons. For starters, I think it’s super sweet of Kenneth to set this shoot up for his fiancé that came all the way from Hong Kong. So the goal was to capture the spirit of Toronto and the only thing they requested was to use the mural “This is Paradise” on Queen Street.

We all met up at the mural as a starting point. I had originally met with Kenneth 2 months ago at our mutual friend’s wedding we shot. On the day of the shoot, it was great seeing Kenneth again and meeting his awesome fiancé Edith. Getting to know them as we went around various spots around Toronto, it was so apparent that these two are meant to be and being half way around the world from each other doesn’t stop them.

So, as I felt like the ambassador for Toronto with a camera that day, we worked our way through some Toronto-ish backdrops which included Queen Street, Osgoode Hall, CN Tower, Tim Horton’s and the Iconic Distillery District. Kenneth and Edith are so comfortable with each other, thus translating into great pics.

To my friends Kenneth and Edith, sincere thanks to you both for having me capture your Toronto engagement session. I wish you both continuous happiness and all the best for your wedding in HK. Here are just a few pics from our session.

European flavour in Toronto // Toronto Engagement Shoot

I’ve been pretty stoked about this shoot since I got the email from Priscilla way back in January. She told me that her and her fiancé would be in Toronto for June and was looking for a shoot that represented the TDot.  Sweet. Right up my alley, as I know Toronto.   It’s funny, I almost felt like a tour guide for T.O as we went around some landmarks that are truly unique to our city.  There was only one road bump in my list of places I wanted to use.  Um remember Union Station a couple weeks ago, yup it was flooded.  Although looking back now...it would made for some awesome pics =) minus the sewage water  - the photographer who can’t swim.

I really enjoyed hanging out with Pricilla and Alex for this session… they were comfortable and natural in front of the camera.  We met at Union Station and from there our walk / shoot and hang out session began.   I want to thank our mutual friend Teresa for the warm referral and to my new friends Priscilla and Alex, thank both so much for this session. Hope you enjoyed your time in the TDot and of course with this session =)   Here are just a few pics from our day.   The rest of the pics will be on route to you guys =)

Diane and Paul Engaged!!! + Pics of little M

I say this all the time and I truly mean it when I say, we are honoured to document the landmark moments of our clients. There are no words that can best describe our reactions when we get the go ahead.

For Diane and Paul, this is definitely how I felt.  You see, Diane is one of the few people that I have known since elementary school and have kept in touch with throughout the years.  So to have this opportunity to be a part of her wedding next year felt right for us.

Their session started with Gi and I capturing some fun pics of their cute daughter M at the request from Grandma.   Right after that, the four of us headed downtown to begin our session.  Gi and I wanted to incorporate a little of everything, since they gave us the creative freedom to go buck wild.  What I love about both of them, aside from them being super photogenic in front of the camera, is the fact that they are up for anything… see the pics of them in Lake Ontario =)

To my long time friend Diane and new friend Paul, here are some pics from our session!  We can’t wait for the wedding next year!

John and Charmaine Lifestyle Session

Location  - Downtown Toronto

I know it seems like every shoot I do, I say it is an honor, but it’s the truth.  A wedding shoot to me is about trust and respect as I appreciate all the planning and little details that my clients take into account for their day.  This wedding was no exception, since John is one of my best friends.   We worked together, went to school together, partied together and shared good and bad times together (sounds like we would make a great couple eh?…kidding). So when John asked me to document his wedding, there was no bigger honour.    Actually, I’m going to rewind this for one second and say, Charmaine and John together make such an amazing couple.  I’ve known Charmaine for a long time also and when I heard way back when John and Charmaine started dating, they were PERFECT for each other!  Now back to their lifestyle shoot.

Their Lifestyle Session started off Downtown and we roamed the city.   They kept telling me they were tired as they drove in from a trip the night before, but looking at the pics and working with them on the shoot, you would have never guessed.   Here are some of my personal favorites and needless to say, I can’t wait till your wedding!
