Cathy & Matt Married. Archeo Distillery District Wedding

This was a really nice change of pace in the thick of our wedding season. A small intimate wedding held at the Archeo in the heart of the distillery district.   One of the great things with this wedding for me was that I had the morning to actually do stuff.  I’m usually MIA from the family on the weekends as I’m gone early in the morning and back late at night. I met Cathy and Matt in the late afternoon… right before their ceremony. They wanted to keep things traditional and not see each other until they walked down the aisle.   While Matt was outside in the courtyard waiting, I flip flopped back and forth to capture the moments before their ceremony.

After their ceremony, we headed out and wandered the distillery district getting some shots of the new bride and groom. Cathy and Matt are such easygoing people which made photographing them a breeze on my end.

The night was filled with great speeches, a fantastic MC and delicious food – a perfect wedding. To my friends Cathy and Matt, great bouncing into you both randomly the other week. Thanks to you both again for having me capture this big day. Here are just a few pics we selected to show your day.

Emerald & Chris. Wedding at Malaparte Toronto

This was a really nice wedding that I especially enjoyed capturing.   The venue Malaparte at Tiff lightbox is great and Emerald and Chris are such chill good peoples.  Their wedding started in the late afternoon (which was such a refreshing change), giving Kevin C and I plenty of time to capture both of them getting ready, their first reveal and the Chinese tea ceremony before the ceremony.

There was a lot of emotions throughout the whole day, as you’ll see in the pictures, from all sides of the wedding.  The outdoor tent ceremony was short and sweet and the weather could not have been more perfect that day. One thing to note, the food was pretty amazing… perfectly fitting as the bride and groom are big foodies.   Getting a chance to connect with a handful of guests who are mutual friends at their wedding made the day even more enjoyable.   In Kevin’s case, he was also a guest at their wedding… best of both worlds… creative shooting and self intoxication after – thank you always brother.

To my friends Emerald and Chris, thanks so much again for having us capture your beautiful day. Here are a handful of pics I chose to show your story.

Winnie and Carson Married! Markham Event Centre Wedding

This wedding will always be pretty memorable for me as the week before their wedding our son was born and a few weeks after their wedding… I headed off to Korea to do a corporate shoot for Samsung.  So this past month has been pretty crazy for me… aka lack of sleep..hehe

The morning of their wedding I started off with Winnie getting ready and Kevin C was with Carson.   For me, it was literally a minute driving distance away… which was such a nice change.  Winnie’s whole family are really nice peoples…very welcoming from the moment I walked into their home.  The morning started with the guys popping by first to do some traditional door games to get the bride as you’ll see in the pics.   We used Unionville main street as the photo location… which worked out well.. as it wasn’t too busy.. especially compared to the past few weeks where it has been filled with festivals and car shows.  Winnie and Carson’s wedding party were super fun people to hang out with.  Speaking of which as I learned at the wedding… one of their groomsmen (I believe it was Sean) is also a photographer…and did such a great job capturing their engagement shoot in NYC.

Before I let the pics do the talking, I want to sincerely thank Laurence for this warm referral and my good friend Kevin C for shooting this event with me.  Last but not least, I want to sincerely thank Winnie and Carson for having us capture their perfect day. Here are some pics we selected to showcase your day.  Enjoy!

Kimberley + Darryl Married. Grand Victorian Centre Wedding

We had such a busy few months capturing so many amazing events and life stages.  We did our last shoot just a few days ago and today we are showcasing our last wedding shoot for the year.

When I arrived at Kim’s home, it was an action packed house.  Looking over Chris C’s pics who was at Darryl’s place… things looked so calm..hehe… but that’s usually the case with the guys.   We all met up at the church ceremony and afterwards the wedding party headed over to Mississauga City Hall for pics.  This location worked out well since we had spots we could use to shelter  the wedding party from the wind and cold.

The evening reception was loaded with entertainment, from Kim surprising Darryl with a song she sang to the talented musician of Grenville Pinto on his violin.  There are a bunch a people I want to thank before we get into the pics.  My friend Chi Hae for the warm intro to Darryl , both of my friends Chris C and Ivan L for shooting this event with me, and our good friends at Buan Productions for their work on the video.  I want to especially thank Kim and Darryl for having us capture their big day.  Here are some pics we selected to share your story.  Have an amazing weekend.

Sarah & John Married. The Doctor’s House Wedding

There is an unspoken rule for wedding photographers… and that rule is… focus on the bride.  For Sarah and John’s wedding the rule was bent a little… as their daughter was a big spotlight too… as she is so adorable and loved by everyone.. as you’ll see in the pics.

I’m so happy that John contacted me. He’s an old high school friend of mine that I have not seen in ages.  We had our first meeting at their home, where I got to meet his beautiful wife and gorgeous little girl. The meeting was a great chance to swap parenting stories and just play chat up.  So when we got the go ahead to capture their wedding… I was super thrilled.

On the day, John and Sarah ran a little late (don’t blame them.. try getting ready with a baby).  So we started off shooting the family that was at the venue first.  The cool part is…  I got to meet the family that makes the best espresso…(Micheal-Angelo Market Place).

The day of the wedding was cold and windy - we even had snow.  When Sarah, John and their daughter arrived, we worked extremely fast to get a few outdoor pics before anyone froze.  Sarah and John and their daughter looked amazing. The Doctor’s house was a perfect venue for their celebration. Good size , great food and has such a intimate feel.  The night was loaded with great speeches, live singing and dancing.

I want to thank my friend Kevin C for shooting this event with me and also want to sincerely thank Joanne (John’s sister) for the warm intro.  My friends John and Sarah, thanks so much for having me capture your big day… You guys are truly a beautiful family and I’m so happy for you guys. Here are some pics we chose to share with you as we continue to edit the rest.

Viola & Tim Married. Archeo Restaurant Wedding

This was a really enjoyable and memorable wedding.  Tim and Viola from my experience are really easy going and relaxed individuals.  The wedding day vibe echoed this tone … nothing felt rushed and every moment was enjoyed.

Kevin C and I got to start together since both Viola and Tim got ready at their home. This was a nice change as I got to bounce back and forth between the pair as they got ready.  Although they were in the same house, they didn’t see each other until they were ready for the first look.

After the reveal we headed to the Distillery District for some more pics. The weather was perfect that day and we were all lucky to be able to spend a good amount of time outside for pics.  After the pics we headed back to their venue for their outdoor ceremony followed by the reception. I always liked Archeo as a venue since its intimate, has a good feel and a layout that works.  Tim and Viola added so many little personal details to their wedding that made the décor more special.  During the evening, we headed out for a few night pics and before we left, they got to symbolically seal their date with a lock on the love mural.

I want to thank Kevin C for shooting this event with me. To my friends Tim and Viola, thank you both so much for having us capture your day! Here are a few pics we chose to share to tell your story.
