Kimberley + Darryl Married. Grand Victorian Centre Wedding

We had such a busy few months capturing so many amazing events and life stages.  We did our last shoot just a few days ago and today we are showcasing our last wedding shoot for the year.

When I arrived at Kim’s home, it was an action packed house.  Looking over Chris C’s pics who was at Darryl’s place… things looked so calm..hehe… but that’s usually the case with the guys.   We all met up at the church ceremony and afterwards the wedding party headed over to Mississauga City Hall for pics.  This location worked out well since we had spots we could use to shelter  the wedding party from the wind and cold.

The evening reception was loaded with entertainment, from Kim surprising Darryl with a song she sang to the talented musician of Grenville Pinto on his violin.  There are a bunch a people I want to thank before we get into the pics.  My friend Chi Hae for the warm intro to Darryl , both of my friends Chris C and Ivan L for shooting this event with me, and our good friends at Buan Productions for their work on the video.  I want to especially thank Kim and Darryl for having us capture their big day.  Here are some pics we selected to share your story.  Have an amazing weekend.

Sarah & John Married. The Doctor’s House Wedding

There is an unspoken rule for wedding photographers… and that rule is… focus on the bride.  For Sarah and John’s wedding the rule was bent a little… as their daughter was a big spotlight too… as she is so adorable and loved by everyone.. as you’ll see in the pics.

I’m so happy that John contacted me. He’s an old high school friend of mine that I have not seen in ages.  We had our first meeting at their home, where I got to meet his beautiful wife and gorgeous little girl. The meeting was a great chance to swap parenting stories and just play chat up.  So when we got the go ahead to capture their wedding… I was super thrilled.

On the day, John and Sarah ran a little late (don’t blame them.. try getting ready with a baby).  So we started off shooting the family that was at the venue first.  The cool part is…  I got to meet the family that makes the best espresso…(Micheal-Angelo Market Place).

The day of the wedding was cold and windy - we even had snow.  When Sarah, John and their daughter arrived, we worked extremely fast to get a few outdoor pics before anyone froze.  Sarah and John and their daughter looked amazing. The Doctor’s house was a perfect venue for their celebration. Good size , great food and has such a intimate feel.  The night was loaded with great speeches, live singing and dancing.

I want to thank my friend Kevin C for shooting this event with me and also want to sincerely thank Joanne (John’s sister) for the warm intro.  My friends John and Sarah, thanks so much for having me capture your big day… You guys are truly a beautiful family and I’m so happy for you guys. Here are some pics we chose to share with you as we continue to edit the rest.

Viola & Tim Married. Archeo Restaurant Wedding

This was a really enjoyable and memorable wedding.  Tim and Viola from my experience are really easy going and relaxed individuals.  The wedding day vibe echoed this tone … nothing felt rushed and every moment was enjoyed.

Kevin C and I got to start together since both Viola and Tim got ready at their home. This was a nice change as I got to bounce back and forth between the pair as they got ready.  Although they were in the same house, they didn’t see each other until they were ready for the first look.

After the reveal we headed to the Distillery District for some more pics. The weather was perfect that day and we were all lucky to be able to spend a good amount of time outside for pics.  After the pics we headed back to their venue for their outdoor ceremony followed by the reception. I always liked Archeo as a venue since its intimate, has a good feel and a layout that works.  Tim and Viola added so many little personal details to their wedding that made the décor more special.  During the evening, we headed out for a few night pics and before we left, they got to symbolically seal their date with a lock on the love mural.

I want to thank Kevin C for shooting this event with me. To my friends Tim and Viola, thank you both so much for having us capture your day! Here are a few pics we chose to share to tell your story.

Julia and Curtis Married. Pangaea Restaurant Wedding

This was a great wedding to wind down the end of our wedding season.  A smaller intimate wedding held in a great restaurant in downtown Toronto.  Julia and Curtis are super nice peoples and I totally enjoyed all our interactions throughout the year. So needless to say their wedding was a great day that we truly enjoyed capturing.

As always, we are uploading a fair amount of pictures that tell the story, so I won’t go into too many specifics. I do have to mention some things that may not be obvious when looking at the pics.  First off, it was COLD that day… like it felt like it was freezing type of cold. Great thing was, everyone in the wedding party just bit the bullet for the outdoor pics (thank guys).   Secondly…Julia and her bridesmaids did such a good job on the dance … really good stuff.  And lastly… Curtis and his fam are from Jamaica…. which meant reggae music. Good times. Big chunes.

Before we get into the pics, I want to thank my friend Kevin C for shooting this wedding with me.  I also want to thank my friend Marlon for introducing me to his brother… thank you for the constant support and good seeing you man.  Last but not least, I sincerely want to thank my friends Julia and Curtis for having us capture their awesome day. Thanks so much guys and here are just a few pics from your wedding.

Angela & Gabriel Married. Toronto Brickworks Fall Wedding

I enjoyed this wedding a lot. It’s always nice to see friends and familiar faces which makes the day that much more enjoyable. My interaction with Angela leading up to their wedding was easy and chill it was same feeling that day.

Kevin C and I shot this wedding together as we started off at separate locations where Angela and Gabriel were getting ready.  I met up with Kev at the Church, where we set up a first look / reveal at the back garden. The Fall weather was bright and warm…could not have asked for a better day. After the Church ceremony we headed over to the Brickwork’s and had a an opportunity to work on some creative formals.  Afterwards, it was nice that everyone headed over to the bride and groom’s condo where they ordered some pizza and got a chance to relax (food on the wedding day is like gold).

In the evening they hired a traditional lion dance team lead by the same “see fu” that trained Gabriel. So pretty fun stuff to see Gabriel showcase some of his skills as he lead the dance for a bit. Before we get into the pics, I want to thank Kevin C for being the second lead and for always being a good friend.  I want to thank our new friend Ramon + his team at RC2 Films for being so easy to work with.  I want to sincerely thank our friends Angela and Gabriel for having us capture your fun wedding. Here are just a few pics we chose to share. Enjoy!

Melissa and Mike Married! Grand Luxe Wedding

There were a lot of little things that I personally enjoyed about Melissa and Mike’s wedding,  so forgive me as I’m just going to randomly shout out things that come to mind.  First off,  as a couple, they were super easy to deal with - straight up good peoples.  I originally met them at Melissa and Pietro’s wedding, which brings me to another reason why I enjoyed this event as I got to see them (and their family) again too.  Mike’s blue suit rocked… if there was a poster boy for a Groom in a blue suit -he would be that dude.  I loved how all the bridesmaid’s dresses were also an untraditional black.

I’m a car guy... and there is nothing I enjoy more than the sound of a naturally aspirated v8 while watch the rear tires light up . That was my view and the sweet sound I heard as I followed Melissa being chauffeured in her uncle’s Chevelle – good times.   The day was cold and windy but it was awesome that everyone was game for pics.  We shot at the Grand Luxe many times and their décor was beautiful, especially the ceremony backdrop.   The entrance sparklers were a great touch and just as spectacular was the big bang of confetti that started the night on the dance floor.

Before we showcase the pics, I want to specially thank Kevin Chan for shooting this event with me and sincerely thank Melissa and Mike for having us capture their big day. I’m not sure if you guys are back from your honeymoon but in any case, here are a few pics that we chose to storytell your big day.  Enjoy and see you guys soon!
