A Sporty Lifestyle Engagement Session // Monica & Veneet

So I’m double posting tonight and wanted to share Monica and Veneet’s awesome lifestyle session. So leading up to this session, I got to know Monica and Veneet through various events I captured. I also got to know this couple from many discussions about their wedding… which I can’t believe is going to be this weekend. Talk how times flies.

This session was a fun shoot as the couple wanted to do this session in Markham since this will be where they are settling down when they get married. We decided to start off with Unionville Main street and then headed over to a nearby school to do this fun sporty themed shoot. For the shoot, these guys looked great and were naturals in front of the camera. I can honestly say, after they got out of their normal clothing and changed into their comfortable sports outfit… they were even more at home.

I’m excited for the next few days ahead and can’t wait for all the back to back shoots. T minus a few days guys. Thanks again.

Emily & Steve, Vineland Estates Winery engagement shoot

I’m pretty stoked about Emily & Steve’s wedding that is coming up at the end of this month. It’s going to be at a new venue for us that we never shot at and since we’re in the heart of the summer (well.. although it’s a little cold outside) it’s perfect for their outdoor ceremony.

I got a chance to check out their venue (The Royal Botanical Gardens) on the day of their lifestyle engagement shoot and I loved it. Since we were only a short drive away from the Vineland Estates Winery, we decided to do their engagement shoot there. The weather was hit and miss all afternoon, but it was all good as we worked with what we got and started indoors then headed out to the vineyards. The ground was wet and mucky but Steve and Emily are total troopers and trekked out into the dirt and mud without hesitation. Emily and Steve are perfect in front of the camera – totally at home with each other, which makes for great pics. Towards the end of our shoot, the sun came out…which added a good mix to their images.

Before we get to the pics, I want to thank our friend Kathy for the warm intro to her awesome friends. Thanks a million Kathy for the constant support. To Emily and Steve, I can’t thank you both enough for having us capture your upcoming big day. Here are a few pics from our shoot. Have an awesome weekend guys!

“This is Paradise” HK to the T Dot.

I love this engagement lifestyle shoot for many reasons. For starters, I think it’s super sweet of Kenneth to set this shoot up for his fiancé that came all the way from Hong Kong. So the goal was to capture the spirit of Toronto and the only thing they requested was to use the mural “This is Paradise” on Queen Street.

We all met up at the mural as a starting point. I had originally met with Kenneth 2 months ago at our mutual friend’s wedding we shot. On the day of the shoot, it was great seeing Kenneth again and meeting his awesome fiancé Edith. Getting to know them as we went around various spots around Toronto, it was so apparent that these two are meant to be and being half way around the world from each other doesn’t stop them.

So, as I felt like the ambassador for Toronto with a camera that day, we worked our way through some Toronto-ish backdrops which included Queen Street, Osgoode Hall, CN Tower, Tim Horton’s and the Iconic Distillery District. Kenneth and Edith are so comfortable with each other, thus translating into great pics.

To my friends Kenneth and Edith, sincere thanks to you both for having me capture your Toronto engagement session. I wish you both continuous happiness and all the best for your wedding in HK. Here are just a few pics from our session.

Angela + Danny, Farmers market engagement shoot

If you want to know what Gi and I do when we have a free weekend together, this engagement shoot with Angela and Danny kinda sums it up. We usually head down to a farmer’s market in the AM, grab some food and hit up a coffee shop so I can get my espresso fix. So when Angela and Danny suggested a farmers market engagement shoot as this represents them, I was totally excited and also totally excited to bring Gi here too one day.

So on the day of their shoot, I met up with Angela and Danny downtown and we all hopped in my car where they directed me to the various spots. We started off at the farmers market and used some cool spots within the area for pics. Angela and Danny are such a great couple and this easily translates on the camera. Afterwards we headed off to The Sovereign Espresso Bar where Danny knows the owner where we all grabbed some espresso and coffee and had some fun shooting in the café. After that we headed over to College Street and walked around and wrapped up our shoot there.

I want to thank my friends Angela and Danny for this awesome shoot and for having us capture your upcoming big day. Thanks so much guys! Here are just a few pics from our shoot.

Monica and Veneet’s Engagement

Monica & Veneet are a pretty awesome couple that you’ll be seeing many more special event pictures that leads to their wedding day in August. For their engagement celebration, we all met up a little earlier at one of my favorite locations that I’ve been itching to use for pics – and they happen to be the lucky chosen couple.

After having some fun in front of the camera we headed over to JJ Swagat where their engagement celebration / Pooja took place. The ceremony was on the stage and they coupled it along with amazing food and entertainment from multiple dancers. It was great that I got a chance to capture this event as I got to meet both sides of the family and which means I will be seeing e familiar faces over the next coming months with all the events that we will be capturing.

I want to thank my insanely talent friend Shikha Bedi (Henna By Shikha) for recommending us and of course our new friends Monica & Veneet. You guys and your family rock for doing your best in having us capture every special event leading up to your wedding – thank you and we’re honoured. To start off, here are some pics from the engagement. See you guys soon.

Jen + Sam Engaged. Afternoon at St. Lawrence Market

I really do love doing these lifestyle sessions, especially when the shoot really reflects what the couple. We started off the day at St. Lawrence market which was a perfect reflection of Jen and Sam, as this is how they typically spend a weekend they have free together. Following them around was fun and I got to see and taste some of their favourite vendors in the market.

We worked our way around the Esplanade area just capturing some au natural pics of them. In front of the camera and just watching them in general as a couple I learned 2 things; 1. they crack me up and 2. Jen + Sam are truly a perfect for each other. We switched up the scene afterwards and headed over to a spot by Queen east where Gi and I really like and always wanted to use for a shoot.

Before we get to the pics, I want to thank Patricia (www.patriciamakeupartistry.com) for doing an amazing job on Jen’s make up. She /Sam/ I/ everyone loooved it! To my friends Jen & Sam, thanks so much for the time together and we’re honoured to be chosen to capture your big day. Sincere thanks guys. Here are just a few pics from our shoot. See you next month!
