Mihaela & Armin. High Park Engagement Shoot

One of the coolest things about doing this shoot in High Park on this day was watching all the Pan am cyclist do practice laps in the park.  It was kinda taunting too at time same time as cycling is my number 3 thing I want to do all the time.

I remembered meeting Mihaela originally a few years back when Gi and I shot our close friend’s Will and Nev’s wedding.  So it was so nice to see her again especially being that it was for her wedding.

On the day of the shoot, I met Mihaela & Armin in the middle of High Park where we began our shoot.  The park felt completely empty which is the total opposite of what I remembered during Cherry Blossom season.  Mihaela, Armin and I walked around and used various spots.  They were a little nervous in the beginning but once they got comfortable with each other…it translated into fun pics.

I want to thank you both for having us capture your upcoming big day.

Here are a few pics from their lifestyle session.

Jenn & Scott! The countdown begins. Liberty Village Engagement Shoot

Since I love dogs and because of our demanding schedule it’s just not cool for us to own one … I totally love it when couples bring their dog to their lifestyle shoot. With this shoot, Jenn and Scott not only brought their puppy but all three of then had matching Colt’s jerseys…so awesome.

We all met at Liberty Village and we started taking pics of the three of them.  After  a little bit, we met up with Jenn’s brother who grabbed the little pup, leaving just the three of us.  Jenn and Scott are totally easy going people which made this shoot that much more enjoyable. We decided to head out of Liberty Village and drove down the street to use one of my fav bridges and a spot with some water as a backdrop. The goal by the water was to hopefully get a plane taking off… but instead we got a party boat in the background instead…lol

Thanks so much again guys and we’re so stoked to celebrate your big day in a few weeks. Here are just a few pics from our shoot.  See you guys soon!

Kelly & Richard… A few more days to go

I’m pretty stoked for the weekend.  I get to shoot a wedding with these good peoples, Kelly and Richard, and I get to see a handful of our mutual friends at the same time.  I’m also super stoked since the next day is our baby first b-day party…. Sigh how time flies so quickly.

There could not have been a better spot to start off their lifestyle session then at Rich’s parents home. I’ve been here before during the Fall season when I did a shoot for Rich’s nephew and niece… and I love their place.  Front and back yard is immaculate... all the hard work in landscaping definitely shone through.

Kelly and Rich are a super easy going couple which makes this picture taking business super fun on my end.   We started off using their awesome London Style phone booth in the front and worked are way around the house.

When the garage opened… it was like heaven for me.  Mint Lambo Countach on the left and motorcycle on the right.  So naturally we just had to use these toys.  We headed off after to a near by park and just wrapped up some more fun shots with Kelly and Richard.

I want to thank my friend Jerry for the warm intro to his brother in law… thanks always for the support brother. To my friends Richard and Kelly thank you both so much and can’t wait till Sat.

Emily and Victor, High School E-Shoot

This shoot was fun times since it was the first time I shot in a high school.  It was a fitting location since Emily is a teacher and her fiancé actually went to the high school she teaches at back in the day.  We started off the morning at Guild Inn but we quickly bolted out of there since there were tons of little flying bugs swarming the place.  You know how they say… if you carry a dryer sheet bugs will stay away... well we tried and no luck – bugs loved us.  We headed next to mid town and used a few spots near Unionville.  My friends Emily and Victor were easy breezy in front of the camera… super comfortable with each other which always makes for great pics.

We headed over to Agincourt High School where I got a chance to see where Emily teaches and got to use some spots around the school for pics. I loved that that we got to use the room that Emily taught in this year.  It as also super cool that Victor’s grad pic was actually hung up along the hallway

I’m really happy and honoured to do this shoot and excited to capture their upcoming wedding.  Not only because Emily is my family, but her and her fiancé are such amazing peoples.  Thank you both so much and can’t wait to celebrate the big day with you both.

Lots of love,

Leon

Cutest fitness shoot ever. notummymommy

Before I get into the details of this cute shoot… The moment I got onsite, I realized 2 things: 1)I’m the most unfit person here and 2) it’s possible to suck in one’s stomach for 3 hours without popping anything internally =)

All jokes aside, everyone onsite was in amazing shape from the owner of the beautiful yoga studio(www.chijunky.com) we used, to the video person (strongeyestudios) if I’m not mistaken used to compete in bodybuilding and of course Trisha from Notummymommy.  I’ve been looking forward to this shoot since chatting with Trisha prior, since I think what she is offering is pretty awesome.  On the day of the shoot… her adorable daughter stole the thunder and won over everyones heart to who was there… she’s soooo cute!  What was even more sweet was seeing both mom and her daughter H doing fun fitness activities… which was so second nature to H.

For any Mom’s out there looking to get into shape or even want some motivation, give this fitness mom a shout (www.notummymommy.com)  She’s totally an easy going and friendly person that can definitely help.   Here are just a few pics from the shoot.

The perfect winter engagement photo shoot. Melissa and Mike

All we needed was a unicorn or maybe Bambi running across the field.  This was like the perfect winter engagement shoot.  I love the fact that the past few lifestyle engagement shoots were all done outdoors in the winter wonderland. The one killer thing was the COLD weather.

When Melissa and Mike said they wanted to do a winter shoot, they could not have picked a better day.  A few weeks back during this shoot, we couldn’t have asked for better weather.  It was warm and there was blowing snow which kinda made the shoot look magical.  What really made the shoot was of course, Melissa and Mike. They guys are super chill and such a great looking couple.

Mike and Melissa suggested that we meet near a path that they walk through all the time in Kleinburg.  So we all met up and literally just had some fun in the snow.  Melissa and Mike are a comfortable, loving, fun and playful couple which was reflected in front of the camera. I love all the cute props that they brought with them too. We wrapped up our shoot inside a cool little forest we saw when driving by.

To my friends Melissa and Mike, I truly had a blast with this shoot and I can’t wait to do this again on the big day. Thanks so much again guys and we hope you like the pics =)
