Home. Interior Photography

I found the owner of this condo and her living space equally fascinating.  If I didn’t find out about her background, I would have guessed she was an industrial designer or an artist of some sort… just so much soul in her.  So I was pretty surprised to hear her chosen profession was law… and I mean no disrespect when I say surprised.   I think she has such passion, a great good eye and talent in the design field I just figured this would be her career in choice.   In a lot of ways… not to get too personal, I feel the same way about my wife.  She’s an accountant by trade but her creative side fascinates and inspires me as it is so different from what she does.

I think the one thing to note about her beautiful space is that it wasn’t staged just for this shoot… what’s amazing is the fact that this space is her lifestyle.  Walking in anytime, it would look the same.   From a shoot perspective, there was so much detail that caught my eyes. I think I kinda overstayed my welcome during this shoot… as everything had a story and of course I wanted to hear it.

I want to thank my friend Angela for introducing me to her awesome friend. I love meeting people with passion… and I want to thank my new friend for opening up her home and space to me.

Headshot + launch party, Dentistry on U

I got to work with Dr. Gina Lee on both a personal level, capturing her adorable daughter’s first birthday, and a business level, now with her practice.  I have to say this…she’s probably one of the most caring and genuine individual’s I have ever met. Here’s one example, during her daughter’s event shoot during the busy party…she went out of her way to introduce me to a bunch of her friends that may need photography while I was shooting.  Same goes during the day of her launch party… as hectic as it was she doing the same for all her other vendors… making sure everyone got to know each other and giving warm kind intros. Crazy nice of her …but I realized that is just who she is..genuine and always looking out for others.

On the day of this shoot, I arrived early before the launch event to capture headshots of the team and was going to do interior shots but there were still some final touches that needed to be completed for the decor.  The night of the launch party was a packed house with so many people giving Gina and her husband well wishes on the new business.  The event and food looked smoking (literally..see the burger pic) which was all was planned and produced by Reve Event Design, who managed the catering provided by Treeline.

I sincerely want to thank and congratulate Gina for the constant support and making her passion come to life. Love the office sister.

4 wonderful events in one post – Monica & Veneet

It finally feels like the weekend just ended for me as we started off with an awesome wedding on Saturday, 3 shoots on Sunday and I literally let go of the camera an hour ago.  Fun part about my last shoot this evening was Gi and our baby got to join me as I worked.. so no missing my girls =)

So I’m back to updating our site as I’m currently in the back seat writing this while Gi is chauffeuring the family home.  So back to Monica & Veneet’s.. wedding events. What I loved the most about Monica and Veneet’s wedding was the fact that I got to capture all the traditional rituals that led up to their wedding day. So in this post you’ll see 4 different events that I got to capture – all of which are pretty cool… from watching the talented Shikha Bedi do her henna art to the religious ceremonies down to watching my friends Monica and Veneet get smothered with yellow turmeric paste.  I won’t even try to explain the significance of each ritual, but the bottom line for me is I love seeing and capturing these traditional aspects each time.  Here are a handful of pics from 4 events as we’re editing like mad monkeys in the studio.

Celebrating Little N’s Baptism

I have gotten to know this family really well throughout this year and really like them a lot.  Before little N was born, Gi and I had a blast doing a maternity session with N&L.  Then when little N was born, we had the honour of capturing some of the first few weeks of his life with pictures. Last month was another special event, when little N received his first sacrament and of course I was stoked to be able to capture this event.   The baptism was at a beautiful church and the celebration was held at one of my favorite venues, Atlantis Pavillion.   To N&L, much love for having me as a part of this special occasion.  Here are a few pics from Little N’s special day...  see you guys around when Gi and I go running =)

A fun farewell session!!!

I know this may seem a little biased but having a photo session with close friends is probably one of the best gifts one can give.  It is a chance to capture a moment in time and make memories along the way.

Natalia contacted me to do a shoot with her friends as a going away present for one of her good friends who moving to Edmonton.   My initial reaction was…”this is a freaking awesome idea =)” So we all coordinated to meet and just had some fun with the shoot as you will see below.  Natalia, thank you so much for keeping me in mind for this session, you and all your friends are so much fun – great meeting you all!  To Elle, hope your enjoying Edmonton… and here are just a handful of pics from our session with your friends in T dot =)

“Surfs like nothing else.” HP/Palm Web OS Event

The HP Touchpad rocks!!  OK, there is a huge tech nerd side of me that loves the latest and greatest.   So when I was asked to capture the event launch party for the WEB OS based new HP Touchpad at the Spoke Club,  I was stoked about seeing this tablet.    It’s funny, I do a lot of corporate event shoots and can draw a lot of similarities with each event since, it involves great speakers / exciting launches followed by fun times.  With this event, the same applies but the crowd was mainly developers and high tech people, so as I walked about capturing the event, I was also stop many times.  Why you ask?  Well let’s just say with a lot of techies everyone was asking about my camera equipment and lenses… birds of a feather stick together =)

The launch party was a success and the Touchpad works brilliantly.  Here are some pics from the event.  Check out their tablet cause really… it” surfs like nothing else”
