Kirsten & Jeff. Distillery District Engagement Shoot

When I got back from this shoot last week… I showed Gi the pics and the first thing she said… “Dreamy looking couple”.  I couldn’t agree more.   So we actually scheduled this shoot 3 weeks ago… but on that day it was raining (like that nasty blowing wind rain) and rescheduled to last weekend… which was a much better day but cold.

Kirsten and Jeff are such wonderful peoples and I mean that sincerely. Both really easy going and being captain obvious for a second… they are such a good looking couple. The shoot was fun… felt like we had the whole distillery district to ourselves.. . as it wasn’t busy and it was pretty cold that day.   Kirsten and Jeff bared the cold weather pretty well with no complaints. We took a walk towards the Esplanade (Again.. skinny Kirsten in heels .. with freezing cold weather.. such a trooper) and ended off with a few shots there.

I sincerely want to thank Kirsten & Jeff for this shoot. I’m a little bummed out that we’re booked on your wedding date but I’m so honoured to be able to do this for you both. I’m excited to see pics from your upcoming wedding and I know you guys will have an amazing time.  Wishing you guys all the best. See you both soon!

Baby O, Just a week old.

So right before I left their shoot.. J showed me the album I did for their first born’s shoot.  Looking at the the pics.. you can definitely tell they are brothers… no doubt. I added a pic of K&O together in the end for a visual comparison.

I’m totally happy for my friends J&B on their new addition to the family. I’m glad this shoot happened for a few reasons.  Aside from the obvious, getting to hang and seeing how big K is in person…it’s that the family is keeping things equal between the brothers. I personally feel the pressure of making sure I’ll document our future son’s life as much as I have for our daughter.

Their son O is perfect and seeing their older brother get along with his baby brother in such a gentle fashion makes me happy… and gives me hope for my daughter when the time comes.  Thanks again to my friends J&B for the constant support. Much love guys!

Home. Interior Photography

I found the owner of this condo and her living space equally fascinating.  If I didn’t find out about her background, I would have guessed she was an industrial designer or an artist of some sort… just so much soul in her.  So I was pretty surprised to hear her chosen profession was law… and I mean no disrespect when I say surprised.   I think she has such passion, a great good eye and talent in the design field I just figured this would be her career in choice.   In a lot of ways… not to get too personal, I feel the same way about my wife.  She’s an accountant by trade but her creative side fascinates and inspires me as it is so different from what she does.

I think the one thing to note about her beautiful space is that it wasn’t staged just for this shoot… what’s amazing is the fact that this space is her lifestyle.  Walking in anytime, it would look the same.   From a shoot perspective, there was so much detail that caught my eyes. I think I kinda overstayed my welcome during this shoot… as everything had a story and of course I wanted to hear it.

I want to thank my friend Angela for introducing me to her awesome friend. I love meeting people with passion… and I want to thank my new friend for opening up her home and space to me.
