The Beautiful Growing Family // Science Centre Family Shoot

I liked everything about this shoot… from seeing this wonderful family annually to seeing how much S&B’s adorable kids have grown up.  It was also super fun doing this family lifestyle session at the Ontario Science Centre…one of my most nostalgic and favorite places.  And to top it off the joy factor, I’m thrilled to see that this family is going to have a plus one… blessed times.   So we decided to do this shoot at the Science Centre this year as an indoor spot to keep warm during this winter shoot… and the good thing is that the kids are familiar with the grounds since the parents have a membership here for them.   I got a chance to play catch up with S&B as we met up in the food court first and man.. like the old uncle here.. I couldn’t get over how much their cute kids have grown.   The shoot was fun for the whole family & myself  (like really... who doesn’t like the science centre) and it felt like we had the place all to ourselves as it wasn’t packed that day.

I got a lot of love for this family and I am blessed to have watched their family continue to grow.  I can’t wait to meet the newest member in the family.   S+B+B+C, hope you guys are having a great holiday and thanks so much guys for the years of support.

Love, Uncle Leon

Happy Birthday // Smash Cake

I want to first thank my friends Joyce and Denyse from Lullaboo Blossoms for this warm referral and hope you both are keeping well =)  T and I chatted on email about setting up this Christmas shoot / first birthday smash cake shoot for their son a month back. If my memory serves me correctly, his birthday should be right around now. .. so happy birthday =)  I never met T&A prior to the shoot… but the ironic thing is and I say this with all smiles and giggles is that in all 7 years of doing this, I never had so many emails fly back and forth.. leading up to a shoot… all good though.. I respect people that prepare.  Speaking of which, on the day of their shoot, they where totally prepared. We started off doing a few family captures and worked outside for a bit and finished off with this awesome smash cake session.

To my new friends, T&A thanks for this shoot. Happy Birthday to your son A and wishing you guys a Merry Christmas!   Here are a few more pics from our session.

First Christmas // Newborn Shoot

Talk about a crazy couple of days for people here in Toronto. We hope everyone is safe at home with power and heat.. especially being Christmas eve and all. Speaking of which, I wanted to share 2 separate entries that relate to this wonderful time of the year… starting with this cute shoot of baby O.  T&S are friends of mine and I couldn’t be happier for them when T told me that they where expecting.  After baby O was born, we figured out a date that worked for everyone and I hopped on by.   As always, it’s great seeing friends I have not seen in a while and it’s especially sweeter when you mix in a cute baby.  The shoot was super cute as you’ll see in the pic and I’m thankful that Baby O’s Nona was there as she was a great asset in helping us out.

To my friends T&S, it was great seeing you guys and congrats again on your beautiful daughter.  Thanks so much for having me do these pics for you.. it is an honour guys. Wishing the 4 of you a Merry Christmas from Gi and I.. here are a few pics from our shoot. See you at Guv no? =)

One big happy family

Did you know technically …we’re still in the Fall season?  Hard to believe as Harold Hosein is telling me there is a winter storm warning in full effect. This family lifestyle session took me by surprise in a good way.  For the most part, for these family lifestyle shoots I do.. the process is pretty simple… we book a time and date and I show up.  The only real prep per say on my end is when we do newborn sessions.. but other than that.. it’s pretty much work with what we have and have some fun.   For whatever reason, I expected to see a small family of three.. and when I showed up, it was a such a  pleasant surprised  to be surrounded by such a big family  that ranged from teens to new bornish baby.  It was amazing watching them all get ready for this shoot... hectic but fun and organized times =)

So we totally lucked out with the weather that day and started off in the house capturing the littlest one in the family first and headed out to the local park in their van.. fun family of 6 we felt like..hehe… When we got to the park.. we worked some portraits of the family and literally right after.. the family just had some fun as you’ll see in the pics.

These guys are a fun and wonderful family together and it was refreshing to capture this session.  Thanks so much to my new friends and for K for reaching out to me and setting this up with her lovely family.  Here are just a few pics from our shoot.

Growing up so quickly

It’s almost a year since I’ve seen this cute dude…

I’m lucky enough to capture and see various families on a yearly basis … and it’s just awesome seeing the kids grow up and the family grow each year too.  The last time I saw this cute dude was when he was one week new and spoken like the old uncle… “I can’t believe how much he’s grown”.   I met my friends K & A bright and early for this session and we worked around the farm grounds to capture some fall pics of them.  It was bit a chilly that morning, but the three of them totally made the best of the scenario.  We went inside the farm to warm up for a bit and captured some shots of cute baby A.

To my friends K&A, thanks so much for having me capture your adorable son + all of you together.  Little A is so cute man… and hopefully Gi and I will see you guys over the holiday season.  Here are a few pics from our shoot.

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Ironically enough as I post these pics of A’s b-day celebration, I’m backing up some pics from another special landmark birthday that I captured this past weekend.

The b day boy’s parents went all out for their son’s second birthday party.. from having Mickey appear to an animal balloon maker to a magician and not to mention a much loved parachute game.  If you flip that effort into our adult world.. that’s like saying.. for a 30th b-day party.. you invite Drake, a unicorn and have Russell Peters to perform live.

I’m glad Gi and I we’re able to be there for  A’s 2nd birthday as for a good portion of his life, he was in another country and we relied on the Whatsapp images and FB posting to see how this family was doing.  Anyways, Gi and I are glad you guys are here, happy I got to capture this special milestone and congrats on numero two sister =) Here are some pics from the party.
