Boys, boys, boys….when I drove up to Mark’s parent’s place I knew it was going to be a fun time with all the boys. This is especially the case when I knew some of the boys from time and weddings past. And of course these guys were not shy so it was definitely like a boys locker room that had all sorts of cologne being sprayed everywhere. And of course, at the end of the day they all cleaned up well =)
I have been noticing a trend in our last couple of weddings. The shoes…typically it is all about the girls shoes but these guys are matching the ladies with their stylish kicks. Good thing this trend started after Leon and I got married..hehe….
The wedding was held at a church near where I grew up so it was definitely a fun blast from the past hanging out in my old neighbourhood. The ceremony was at a beautiful traditional Egyptian Coptic Church. I loved the crowns, the traditions, and the culture that was throughout the service.
Once the ceremony was over we went over to Edwards Garden for some fun shots. This wedding party was up for anything so of course we asked them to work it out – And of course they did =)
From the early on set of doing business, there is one thing that I always believed in and put into practice with everyone - the process is just as important as the final result. That being said, with Marianna and Mark they left such a good mark (pun intended) in my memories on how great it was working with them from the initial time we met last year leading all the way to their wedding day. They made the process so enjoyable for me working with this wonderful couple which Gi and I can both attest that it was good times. I can’t stress and thank you both enough for being so on the ball, easy going, considerate, and thoughtful throughout this whole time.
So on the wedding day… I was kinda of jealous that Gi was with Mark and his dudes… since I knew those guys are all fun times. I started off at Marianna’s place and the moment I walked in, I received a warm welcome from her parents. All her girls where getting their hair and make up done in the basement and when I went up to see Marianna, she was super calm in her awesomely pink room which had her dress hung up (so as an example of the thoughtful and considerate couple...the night before Mark installed two hooks for the dress to make my life easier for pics..)
When we got to the Church, the ceremony was beautiful like Gi mentioned and as you can see in the pics, family and friends where extremely happy for them and as for Marianna and Mark, there was nothing but joy and laughter. Mark mentioned to me the night before the wedding that he was got Marianna a surprise .. a gorgeous white Rolls. So when the ceremony ended… Gi bolted out quickly to get her awesome reaction (as you guys will see in the pics below). After having some fun with the whole wedding party (fun is the word) doing some pics at Edward Garden, we headed to the reception. Walking in.. they had the place decorated amazingly, such attention to detail. One personal thing I loved was that they enlarged a photo from our lifestyle engagement shoot for their guest to sign… and when I mean enlarge, I’m not talking about a 24X40 here.. we’re talking life size mounted on clear acrylic (I had to include a selfie to showcase the size of this) One other memorable aspect of their wedding.. was their intro.. drummer, dancers and a room full of energy welcoming them in… every wedding show needs to roll in like this =)
To my friends Marianna and Mark, thank you both so much for having Gi and I capture your spectacular day. You guys are truly such an amazing couple. Welcome back from your honeymoon and here are just a few (hundred) pics to visually story tell your amazing day.
Your Friend, Leon
Great job on the surprise Mark =)
Go big or go home as they say =)
