How Happy am I for H&R and their Little Guy =)

This shoot was extra memorable for me cause after the shoot I ended up being locked out of the garage that I parked in.  And that happened to be at the Chartered Accountants of Canada Building (for those of you that don’t know…Gi’s a CA… and I guess karma came back to me for mocking her nerdiness all the time =)  Anyways… to the main event:

I met H&R at a get together for all the people in a wedding party that H & I were a part of.   I have a lot of love for this couple as they are both good peoples and they continue to support my business…which I’m sincerely thankful for.

So when I heard about the birth of their son, I could not be happier for my friends.   When R contacted me for this shoot, I was stoked.. as it gave me a chance to see them and of course meet their little one.   The shoot was fun, relaxing and little S was totally perfect for the camera.  Since I was downtown for the shoot, we got a chance to incorporate a little urban backdrop… something I love doing.  H&R, congrats again and thank you both so much for the continued support and giving me this opportunity to capture a part of your son’s life.  Here are just a few pics from our day.

This little dude loves the camera =) Baby lifestyle shoot

The past week was pretty busy for us.  Been so lucky to meet with 2013 and 14 wedding prospects all week and wrapped up the weekend with an fun Lifestyle engagement shoot at the EX.  And don’t forget a 14 hour wedding shoot the next morning.  Finally Sunday was chore day – cleaning the house… all good things have to come to an end =)

I’ve been having a blast capturing various newborn, baby, and family sessions lately. K contacted me about doing this session and after juggling a few dates we found one that worked for the both of us.   When I got a chance to meet this awesome little dude + his fam, Baby D was perfect in front of the camera.  We had a blast shooting throughout the morning and even got a chance to get outside for a little bit.  K, thanks so much for inviting me over and giving me this opportunity to capture these moments with your family. I’m always honoured.  To my fellow talented photography  friends at Lullaboo Blossom, many thanks for this referral.   Here are just a few pics from our session as the rest is on its way to you guys.  Thanks again and enjoy!

Baby J Family Session // A few weeks young

I’m pretty stoked for the next 48 hours…about to head out to scout for our wedding shoot tomorrow (extremely action packed day looking at the itinerary) and after going to head over to the EX for a lifestyle session … “let go to the ex”… and meeting with a awesome couple in the evening that giving us the honour to capture their wedding next year.  Seriously Good times.

Before I head out, I want to share with you guys a few pics from this gorgeous baby session.  I was super excited when R called me about this session and when I arrived it was awesome that R had prepped lots of items to incorporate into the shoot.  Ironically enough this year for us, about 80% of all our clients had a background in the health science / medical industry as I realized R fell in this category too when she busted out the stethoscope for baby J =)

Baby J is absolutely adorable and so much fun to capture – loves the camera for such a young age =)  Before I let the pics tell the story, I sincerely want to thanks R for giving me this opportunity to capture your beautiful daughter and also meeting a good portion of your family that day too (including all the pets in the family..hehe).  Here are just a handful of pics from our session.  Thanks so much again.

Welcoming Baby L // Newborn Session

I’m inspired by a lot of things and not necessarily a single person it may be an aspect of a person that I’ve met or not met for that matter.   I heard a pod cast a few years back from one of my favorite speakers who said  “legacy is greater then currency” and this stuck with me for the longest time.  Being a photographer is something I absolutely love, it has become a part of me.  But being able to capture the events such of marriage or a newborn birth is something that brings meaning to my life and allows me to leave a small imprint on peoples lives.

I could not be happier for our friends Nadia and Jacky.   I know I overuse the word awesome all the time, but they are truly an awesome couple.   I got to know them through out the years and grew closer when I was given the opportunity to capture their wedding.   So I was ecstatic to hear when they gave birth to their beautiful daughter and got to shoot them with Gi.  On that day, Mom and Dad + baby L came over to our place looking fabulous (problaby tired as heck, but they hid it well =)  ) Baby L was easy breezy to capture and G and I had fun with the three of them.  Anyways, as always I’ll let the pics do the talking.   To our good friends N&J, congrats again dude(t)s and  thanks for letting us capture these moments… here are just a few pics from our day.

Creating the look. Toronto Wedding Makeup & Hair Stylist

Any wedding and lifestyle photographer knows that a talented make up and hair artist can create a specific look and feel for the client... and not to mention it makes our end result that much more visually pleasing =)

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of working with Lang Nugyen and her talented team of hair and make up artists (Salon Diva).  I spent the day capturing 3 talented models being transformed into various looks… and the results were fascinating.  This was a fun shoot as everyone was so easy going.  Big thank you to the models and team at Salon Diva for the awesome session and also a sincere thanks to Dave at DNA Management & Consulting Services for making this all happen.  Can’t wait to see how the new site is going to look.

Tanya and Ian Lifestyle Session / Vineyard to Brickworks

We met Tanya and Ian at Starbucks to start off our shoot and headed straight to the tennis courts.  You see the tennis courts are special to these two since this is where they met.   We even got to take some pics with a very important member of their family.  Callie.  Now this princess has a rhinestone necklace that anyone would be jealous of and she definitely loved being the centre of attention.

After making sure we included this key member we went to continue the shoot with our main attraction in some wheat fields and winery’s.   Very cool little venue in stoufville if anyone is looking for the vineyard feel.    It was great for us as we didn’t have to drive out Niagara but still got the same feel in the GTA area =) .

Last but not least we headed to one of our favourite places to shoot.   Evergreen brickworks.  And luckily our family function got delayed as we got to finally try out the brunch place that is there.  Café Belong.   Yums and thanks for letting us crash your date =)

Gi

Man, times flies as it felt like yesterday I met Tanya and Ian at our studio.   These guys are such an easy going couple and the process from our initial meet to our lifestyle session was the same, fun and relaxing.  Tanya and Ian has the same style as Gi and I, in terms of “interior space” which is true loft / high ceiling / wood and concrete styles.  That being said, we were planning to use one of the project spots where Tanya’s been working on but in the end we couldn’t get in.   So we chose to hit a Vineyard and Brickwork’s as the main attractions giving us a good contrast.

To our new friends, Tanya and Ian, we had a blast hanging out and capturing you guys.  Don’t know if you guys saw this, but the camera phone pic I shot of our food got featured in the paper:

We should go back again after the wedding.   T-minus a few weeks guys and we can’t wait. Until then, here are just a handful of pics from our session.  Enjoy!
