S+F+C+R Maternity and Family Session

There is nothing that makes me more happy than seeing my close friends and family do well in life.   When S contacted me, I was more then thrilled about this session for a handful of reasons.  Doing what we do, the one part that Gi and I miss is seeing our friends more as it is often hard to make that time available.    So when my close friends S&F, whom I have not seen in forever, asked to capture some maternity pics, I was super excited.   I mean not only did I get to see them but also had the opportunity to spend some time together capturing some pics of their gorgeous family.

When I look back at the stress free times of my life (aka.. no mortgage  or bills) it was back in the Ward days walking the halls.. and working out… (if there is any Mary Ward people reading this.. they would get it what I’m saying) and that kinda my Ward curriculum sums up and  how I met F…Lol!

Nostalgic flashbacks aside… I’m super happy to see that life is good for my friends F&S and they have a gorgeous family + another one on the way.  I want wish you guys all the best with the new addition and see you guys soon (as my summer holidays begins in the winter =) . Here are a few pics from our session.

Much love guys!

Margaret and Thomas Married!

These last 2 months have not only been exciting but also crazy busy for us as we were documenting awesome weddings back to back.  It has been a great mix of cultures, venues, and of course meeting new as well as familiar faces at each event.

I was saying to Gi today that other than Margaret and Thomas’s wedding, I don’t think we documented any wedding this year with the traditional Chinese door games.  Every time I go through our couples itinerary and I see a good time slot for door games...  I think back to our wedding… I remember it felt like hours of pleading my way in .  For Margaret and Thomas's wedding… I think they take the cake for the longest door games we have ever seen… fun times!!

The day started off in the morning where I met Margaret at the studio she was getting her hair and make up done.  Gi on the other hand was with Thomas and the guys.  And of course the day really started when the two finally got to meet up at Margaret’s…well I mean after the games =)  The rest of the day was smooth sailing with great weather for pics and tons of family and friends celebrating their festivities.   As we’re processing all the pics, I thought we would share a few of our favourites to visually story tell  the day.

Anna + David’s Lifestyle Session

For all those app makers out there… if someone can come out with a “fall leaves tracker” I would buy that in a heartbeat.   I love the look of the fall season and year after year it is so tough to gauge when the fall colours kick in. And when it does there is typically only a small window before the leaves fall off the trees.    Ok.. enough Leon headspace talk and onward to the main event:

Anna and David are a really sweet couple together. I got to know Anna from our other wedding clients/friends in the past.  So I am super stoked to hopefully see them at their wedding.  For the session, Gi and I met Anna and David in the afternoon at Glendon College.  We wandered around the campus and found some hidden spots for some great fall shots…We are always wonderfully surprised what gems you can find just by walking around and being creative…  We were also able to capture some fall foliage so it was great to capture the changing season… (now if I had this app….) ..ok I will stop :p…Here are some pics from their session and we are so excited for their upcoming wedding!

P+R+R+K –Family Lifestyle Session

Until the session, I had never met P+R and their two wonderful sons.  As we all got to know each other at the shoot…I remember asking P what her and her husband do as a profession… and although I got an answer, I think they should have another career path =).   I personally think they are both perfect models… I mean they are not only beautiful in person but they are both super photogenic in front of the camera.   Maybe they can get their sons in the profession =)… like they say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

We started off in their home but since the weather was so great we worked our way outside and had some fun in the sand and sun.  To P&R and baby K and R, thank you all so much for the session and here are just a few pics from our day.

Cristina and George Married!!!

Talk about a seriously fun wedding.  OK, I hate generalizing but if you’ve been to an Italian wedding you can agree that celebrations are always fun from start to finish.  Now if you have been to a Greek wedding, you know that it is definitely a blast with all the dancing and various traditions… good times.   Now… combine the two cultures together plus a side of Michael Jackson…and what does that give you?  An AWESOME wedding of course.

The wedding day was perfect.  I started off with the girls at the salon and Gi and I met up at Cristina’s place to capture the girls getting ready while Kevin was with the men.  The entire day went so smoothly with a ton of excitement and fun.   With a beautiful ceremony held at The Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral, picture perfect shots at the Dock’s, and an eventful night at La Primavera…  Who could ask for more?

Before I let the pics tell the story, I want to sincerely thank Cristina and George for sharing your big day with us!  Much love to you both. Here are just a handful of pics from your wedding.  Welcome back from your honeymoon and see you guys soon!

D&E + Baby K Family Lifestyle Session

E contacted me about doing a family lifestyle session as a surprise gift for his wife.   OK, I personally suck at surprises and always let the cat out of the bag when I try to do anything for Gi.    So when we showed at D&E’s place…. she was definitely surprised.  The reaction sort of went like this… she opened the door and said… “Hi Leon and Gi.. umm….why are you here? Are you guys supposed to be here?”  hehe.. So kudos to E for keeping it a surprise!

The session was super fun since Baby K loves the camera and is just a happy baby.  Apparently she has always been like this with everyone, so I must say that I can only hope that we have a baby that happy one day. Big thank you to E for keeping us in mind for this session.  Here are just a handful of pics from our day.
